03/10/10 Tour Update

Hello, all. Thanks for making our record release this past Friday a blast. Diamond Mines, Baby Driver, and Four Eyes were a pleasure to rock out to, and they helped us kick off our first proper U.S. tour with style.

As you may or may not know, we ran into some serious difficulty on the first leg of our voyage. At about 7:00am on Saturday morning our van broke down for good on I-90 west in Massachusetts near milemarker 32. We managed to make it back into town, and after much brainstorming and stress decided to proceed with the tour in my 2003 Saturn Vue with a reduced amount of gear and supplies. This is not our ideal solution, but it is the only one that allows us to tour before the end of the year.

This delay unfortunately caused us to miss five of the shows on our tour. We are very disappointed about it, but are doing our best to haul ass across the US and will be playing tomorrow night in Portland, OR and continuing the tour from there. We are in Wiota, Iowa heading west and expect to hit Portland by tomorrow in the early afternoon. That’s in western Iowa by the way.

This development is an even bigger bummer for Colleen Green and co. as well as our tour companion, Jake. There just isn’t room for them in this tiny box. Expect Colleen to make some of these dates through her own resourcefulness, though.

We’re not so comfy crammed into this partial back seat, but we are in good spirits and eager to make it to the west coast and start rocking!

01/23/10 Facedrop

I updated to the new in-progress layout. I’ll tweak as we go, but was too lazy to get involved in commit-cherrypicking.

Yay!
